The Terminal Beach

We find ourselves in perilous times. A transfigured gaze cast backward meets a future fraught with anxiety. What was once stable now fractures, as lives lived under the perpetual threat of environmental collapse or financial ruin become brittle and frail. Meaning seeps out through the cracks, much like sweat through the widened pores of sunburnt skin.

After six years in Berlin, Efremidis opens its final exhibition, The Terminal Beach, showcasing eleven artists the gallery has collaborated with. The artworks evoke fragments of a cache lost at sea, now scattered across the shore and reshaped by ceaseless tides. These remnants, glistening like elusive souvenirs amidst the smooth sands, allude to an imagined whole, mirroring our search for connections in the chaotic reality surrounding us.
